Should handguns be illegal?
I don't think handguns should be illegal. I do think that they should make it harder for citizens to have access to a gun though. Guns are mainly used for protection. If I'm camping out in the woods, of course I'm going to want to bring some sort of protection. Most likely I'd want to bring a gun, just in case. If I were to get robbed and someone broke into my house how else am I going to defend myself if they have a weapon? Even if they didn't have a weapon I'd still want protection because they're a threat to me.
Our government should make it harder for people to have access to guns. In other words, they should have more qualifications and they should have certain stores that sell gun. A lot of people get guns now and days because of their connects. A lot of illegals lets say aren't supposed to be able to buy a gun, but most of them illegal or legal own a gun. The people that sell the guns don't take it seriously. People just sell them guns like it's nothing. This is where the government should react on this and make a change.
I believe that if we change the law a little bit we would have less violence. It'd be harder for people to buy handguns.
